Traditional Craftsman

In accord with the home’s craftsman interior design and architectural motifs, the Richardson landscape compliments this theme with a modern slant. Transforming walls with rustic stone veneer and adding paths, sitting areas of pebble with large step stones and a pebble driveway create warmth and color to the redesigned front entry. Plantings followed a strict color palette of warm tones to blend with the stone.

In the rear yard, an old brick wall was reworked to become a wall fountain and the central focus of the garden room. A slate patio similar to the front walk anchors the entertaining area, which features a cooking area, bar and fire element, and unifies the front and rear gardens. Throughout there are many elements that recall the craftsman theme from the stonework to the plantings to the gate and lighting fixtures.
